Rosa was arrogant and rude so if this is a place that you would like to use to feel good and tackle your wellness THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!!! They have their sales job down, but it is a bait and switch at the end - also with random other fees rolled in. Long store short - I paid my last month (which I did not dispute), but was charged an addtl $34.99 for a future yearly fee - essentially paying for the 2019-2020 year even though I was cancelling. Explained she was very close to calling me a lair which I did not appreciate - and that it should not be my culpability that their staff was untrained and did not document. She stated that person never documented in my acct, nor the person I spoke to on the phone so it was like it never happened. I explained the situation and she said that I needed to stop between 9-5 - I explained that I had and reviewed the situation. No call! I recd a new credit card and recd a call from ROSA at the club. He took name number etc and promised to call. He texted the manager and never recd a response - he asked the girl at the juice counter who did not know. A month later I stopped into the club and spoke with someone that did not know what to do. We moved and at first I was told that I needed to send a certified letter at my cost because they have had issues with them being cancelled. They promise that it is easy to cancel - this is simply not the case. It is often hard to get times that work with sched, but the staff themselves are wonderful. The Training staff is excellent - this review is not for them. Fingers-crossed he can help me!As of 04/11/19Further evidence that they dont listen (or dont know their own processes): I called today, per their instructions to cancel my membership, and I apparently need to go in-person (during business hours, LOL) or print out and mail a form in. BUT, apparently their sales people can sign you up for trainers, and ONLY the GM/Ops Manager can cancel memberships, and hes not in until tomorrow at 9 AM. I left the building very unheard and frustrated, then realized I NEVER had this problem at Sky Fitness, so I immediately returned and demanding they cancel my membership, because my TOP priority is convenience. And that I wanted to talk with my husband about it before signing up. I also told them that the price was not a concern, but I didnt want to sign-up only to cancel last-minute. I would have loved to try a trainer a month AFTER deciding whether I can commit to going to the gym, at all, like I said. Warning #4 = No towel service, no cleaner for equipment, no sharable mats/equipment in the yoga studio, no locks in their changing rooms.Tonight, I listened to their pitch regarding the trainer, told them that convenience was a top priority, and when I told them that I was concerned about making it to the gym 2x/week, at all, let alone to pre-schedule a time with a trainer, and the sales guy told me my only choice was to go with their leanest package. Warning #3 = When I tried my first/only yoga class, the instructor does her thing up front and does not go around the room, correcting postures, or offering alternate positions for anyone. Warning #2 = When I first tried their yoga class, no one was sitting at the front desk. #3 = Great location.Cons: Warning #1 = When you enter the gym, look on the left wall at the top of their California locations. #2 = Their night/weekend yoga class times are perfect. Mayor Thomas Poynton, who missed the meeting because he is recovering from heart surgery, said he's pleased significant changes were made to Life Time's plan.As of 04/10/19Pros: #1 = The woman who helped me today with a trial training session was super nice and educated on proper posture. The board voted unanimously to approve the final design plan Tuesday night. Because of complaints the fitness center would disturb nearby residents, the proposed building location gradually moved further toward the southwest corner of the Hackney's property to be nearer to the intersection of Rand and Old Rand roads. After feedback from the planning and zoning commission, elected officials and the scores of local residents who opposed the proposal, Life Time representatives shrank the design to a height of 40 feet. Under the first version, the fitness center was to be three floors with a height of 60 feet. "Not wanting to risk what might go there and not have control over that."Īlso, it has taken the company time to incorporate significant design changes made between the first presentation to the village board in fall 2017 and May 2018, he said. "We wanted to control that entire frontage," Koehler said Tuesday night.
